Master Zhen Hua Yang The Strength Within
Episode Number
№5
Master Zhen Hua Yang is the founder of Calligraphy Health, a lifelong practitioner and teacher of traditional Chinese internal arts whose work brings together movement, breath, mindfulness and ancient Eastern philosophy.
Beginning his training at the age of two under his father and grandfather, Master Yang later studied with highly regarded Buddhist and Daoist masters, developing a practice shaped by generations of traditional knowledge and decades of personal experience.
After overcoming childhood asthma through his own training, he devoted his life to understanding the connection between the body, mind and internal energy.
For more than 30 years, Master Yang has taught students around the world, from monks and Olympic athletes to business leaders and members of the Australian military.
Through Calligraphy Health, he developed a distinctive form of moving meditation combining flowing movement, natural breathing, conscious awareness and internal body practices designed to cultivate balance, resilience and a deeper connection between mind and body.
In The 8th Voice, Master Yang explores what ancient wisdom can teach us about modern life, the relationship between body and mind, the meaning of internal strength, and why true health begins with learning how to listen to ourselves.
